Wilshire Health & Community Services, Inc. is a California not-for-profit, public benefit, operating corporation whose origins date back to 1947.  The company was originally in the acute hospital business and presently provides a wide range of long term care services including home health and hospice, residential care for the elderly, and nursing and rehabilitation.

We sponsor a not-for-profit corporation, Hospice Partners, Inc., which operates Hospice Partners of the Central Coast a licensed and certified hospice program in San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties.  In addition a new hospice agency, Hospice Partners of Southern California, is being developed in Santa Monica.

Wilshire Management Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wilshire Health & Community Services, operates Wilshire Business Partners, a Professional Billing and Business Service located in Hanford and San Luis Obispo.

We operate our own agencies.  In addition, Wilshire Health & Community Services and Compass Health own Coastal LLC, which operates nursing facilities on the Central Coast.

Our corporate office is located in San Luis Obispo.  We operate agencies that serve Los Angeles, Ventura, Kings, Tulare, Merced, Fresno, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.  In addition, we operate a facility in Los Angeles County, while also studying ways to expand selected agencies and services to better serve our communities.

Our Board of Directors is composed of eleven members who bring a variety of professional and life experiences to Wilshire Health & Community Services. Management possesses a wide variety of skills in all aspects of health care management and on average has been with the company for more than ten years.  We presently have 280 employees.
